Should we push back against the bogus sentiment that The Simpsons hasn’t been funny in decades, since even in its 32nd season, it was able to put -together an episode as sharp as the Comic Book Guy-focused Wes Anderson tribute?

Feels like there’s a lot of recency bias but good list I reckon.

Is the americans any good?

Yeah, it is. One of mine and MsGarnagle’s all time favourites.

The first series is fairly lightweight but very entertaining, and it gets progressively weightier and better as it goes along. Spends lots of time developing and fleshing out the characters and exploring their motivations, but manages to balance it with the pace and tension of a thriller. Great performances from everyone, and the ending is absolutely perfect IMO.
