This appeared on my feed today, allegedly came out in October but I’m a bit dubious because a) only two people have bought it since then and b) I can’t believe the Bicep melody meets Jersey club meets gnarly UK bass monster that is Rev & U hasn’t been literally everywhere for the past 3 months.

Kavari were on NTS the other day.
I’m gonna keep recommending their Eel Blood album from last year too because it’s great. Noisy bassy experimental electronics and noise on an ace label from Edinburgh.

Love some Kavari tracks but this is an audial aneurysm. Probably I’m just being reactionary cos hard techno and hardstyle and all those other hards- comprise every other rave in London and I genuinely think they’re absolute ass to listen to.

Am going to one for a friend’s birthday party in a couple weeks 
Felt a bit the same. Also for some reason this response in the interview really got my back up. Maybe it’s just my age.
How and where was the mix recorded? And can you tell us the idea behind it? It was recorded in my friend’s London bedroom at 4 AM while I was on a ton of Ambien. I honestly don’t remember making any of it.
It’s certainly not for everyone, I’ll grant you that. Personally I found this at the playful end of the spectrum for her sets, at least until the final stretch.

I’m more into industrial music than Techno, so I love how crunchy and blown out everything is.

I normally like that too… but i find a lot of hard techno and hardstyle sets to just be kinda crass and I’m tired of it’s ubiquity. Maybe this is old age?

nah. think i’d as soon go to a boring white german dj, phones in the air, afro house night than the commercial end of hardstyle/industrial techno. about as unimaginative as music gets. unfortunately, any underground music that reminds me of that is going to raise my suspicions pretty quickly
