guess with omega/page tied up in the tag division (and cody ineligible), there are more heel challengers available than faces so it makes sense. shame, as jericho was doing great work as le champion

I think they run the risk of running out of top matches anyway, they’ve been building well but there’s still maybe 6 bone fide big draws on the roster. Would be interesting to see if they can make say an MJF challenge into a proper ppv sell.

I get the feeling though the next big hype match will be their version of war games, so they can buy themselves more time there.

yeah was thinking mjf could be a logical contender, assuming they don’t want to drag the cody stuff out for a bit longer

Just finished a marathon AEW session to catch up. I loved Revolution. A couple of so so matches but most of it was great. Surprised they put the belt on Mox but I don’t think they’re done with his feud with Jericho/the Inner Circle just yet. It’s hard to imagine Jericho not being in the title picture, he’s just too damn good.

They’ve done incredible work turning Adam Page from the odd man out to one of the most over guys in the company. The tag match was the best part of the night imo. I love it when wrestlers get to tell a story that isn’t just straight forward face/heel stuff and all 4 guys did a great job selling it.

Season 2 of the Dark Side of the Ring just came out and is premiering on 24th March. Can’t wait for this, as thought what they did on Season 1 was really great and some of the stories they are going to cover look like it will be just as good, if not better.

WWE must be sweating hard at the thought of the Chris Benoit story

Wonder if they Vice to get some agreement on images or the like from WWE and that the agreement might be based upon WWE seeing it first?
From seeing the trailer, it reminds me that I need to read the Owen Hart book, as I never really read into the court case Martha had with WWE

Speaking of has anyone been watching ruthless aggression series and saw they had to use a brief clip of Benoit losing the title to Orton? No mention of him obviously but its the first time I’ve seen him on a WWE production in a very long time.

Just realised how easy it would be to airbrush his reign out of history…

HHH dropped the title in March 2004 in a match with Shawn Michaels before Randy Orton won a Championship bout to start his first reign five months later.

Completely true and completely obscuring Benoit’s involvement.

Editing him out and around of Eddie Geurerro’s episode is gonna be a bit tougher, however

I did see on the twitter the other a day a slightly more in depth clue as to Luke Harper’s intro to AEW is imminent, also Lance Archer retweeting Jake the Snake

Luke Harper, Matt Hardy and Lance Archer to help boister their fulltime numbers seems like a good roster boost

I believe they want to debut Harper on the Rochester show which is on the 18th March, presumably they want him to get a big babyface pop.
I think Archer could use the heater/promo help from Jake slightly more, so could see that fitting in.
Matt will completely overshadow the Dark Order, make it very hard for them to get genuine heat, but tbh that’s not a big loss, they’re not so good on their own imho.

Yeah they’re doing well atm but they’re getting that 2nd show up and running soon so definitely could use a larger roster. Nothing crazy like wwe but these new big lads really help pad it out. If they can lock down Jeff Cobb and maybe the Revival once they escape they’ll be in great stead.

Gonna be a bit of a weird tonal shift for the Dark Order as well innit? They’ve not been sure what to do with it for ages tbf though.
