I’d say that he’s erratic rather than stale. When he’s motivated his epic - stalking Seth, stealing the belt, his Roadblack match against Triple H, or bringing the belt to Smackdown. When they used him midcard whilst promoting RR he really wilted though. His range and variety can really drop off till it just feels like 7 minutes of running bulldog and a half hearted elbow off the turnbuckle.

If the mark of a great wrestler is being able to have a good match with anyone then that’s not Dean, but when he’s on form he’s up their with Rollins and KO.

his promos and stuff are still consistently good, but yeah, rarely enjoy his matches anymore. nothing he does is crisp, just soft punches and shitty chops. and that fucking clothesline, over and over again

Does anyone know what the deal was with the Ambrose Foley thing he was supposed to debut with? Obvs The Shield worked out very well indeed but I’ve always wondered what they were going for initially.

ambrose talked about it on jericho’s show. from what I remember, it was something about how foley had inspired all these indie lads to fall off ladders and hit each other with light tubes and stuff, and that they were getting badly hurt because of him. it got scrapped when foley couldn’t get cleared to wrestle again

have to agree with @asita and @anon5266188 though. I LOVE Ambrose but man they sure know how to squander him at times and when that happens he stops bringing his “A” game. He had an incredible year last year though up until Summerslam vs Ziggler (lol) and then rightly getting squashed by AJ Styles

yeah absolutely, when he first broke out into his own I was pretty much in love with the guy, but time hasn’t been that kind to him. His Corbyn feud has been pretty meh so far and it’s mostly to put Corbyn over, which isn’t a bad decision, it’s just what Ambrose does next.

That Triple H match from last year though, I popped so fucking hard when i thought Ambrose had finally won the title
