Rough Trade sale?

Could be worth a look for you folks with money…

Is this their “going for a song” section?

It’s pretty decent, although those Facebook ads kept pushing me something I really wanted that it turned out only had two quid off :unamused:

hate that their website doesn’t tell you the price of anything until you click into it

Definitely this. The Facebook ads are much better than the site.

Their website is ridiculously annoying and their ‘sales’ are misleading. Often turns out that something that you think is in it actually isn’t. I rarely buy from them because others (Norman’s, Monorail, Resident) are so much better.

And Drift Records. Good newsletters too

and when you click back it takes you back to the top rather than where you left the page, bit annoying and surely this could be an easy fix

I got an email from them about the sale and was going to post it in the Ridiculous Music Bargains thread, but after spending 15 minutes with the website I felt I couldn’t inflict it on anyone else.

So annoying.

On a more general note has anyone actually seen the sales they do on the US version of the site sometimes. Unreal bargains. The UK side of things is pure shite by comparison. Shit site, shit sale, no fans.

I did actually use it first time around when posted on the Ridiculous Music Bargains thread. Bought Jeffrey Lewis £10, Daniel Avery Alessandro Cortini £15 & Leon Vynehall DJ kicks 2lp £13, which were all great prices. Although they took about 2 months to arrive(!) But Covid had just kicked off so fair enough I suppose.

As it was my first purchase apparently I get free delivery on my next… but they don’t make it easy. Another gripe is that it lists things but they are only available for pre-order or a certain version is out of stock.

I buy most of my vinyl from shops if I can as I prefer browsing and being pleasantly surprised when they have something I’ve been looking for.

I bought something from a couple of weeks ago (only because it was out of stock elsewhere) and they are still really slow (took almost two weeks to receive something that was said to be in stock when I ordered it). I wouldn’t want to be too harsh in the current circumstances but other sellers seem to have been able to keep up their service better. It may be that it is harder for them because they are presumably a bigger operation than someone like Norman’s.
