ASDA is the fucking worst. Can’t believe they’re gonna tarnish upmarket sainos with that shite.
Mostly shop at Lidl and Aldi with a bit of sainos, waitrose and M&S

From fisting Norman Lamont to entertaining five year olds.

Asda is definitely the worst supermarket. Aldi for the majority of stuff then get some extras from trose, too

now then antone, this may be of interest to you. ive worked in both argos and azdaz and i think i would have enjoyed using an argos-style system to go and find things for customers in azdaz, not least because it was a living hell when you were on the shop floor and people asked you where things were. as i only worked over the summer breaks from uni it wasnt even my local asda, so i was basically wandering round as lost as they were. at least in argos i could be wandering around the warehouse lost but alone. although in asda i learnt how to sleep with my eyes open on many a late night checkout shift.

swings and roundabouts, as they say

This is a thread about a business merger. Take a leaf from rich-t’s book, he’s posting financial times links ffs.

Dont really consider Iceland a supermarket

I’ll probably do an Iceland shop on Wednesday or Thursday this week, I don’t consider it “going to the supermarket”

Winch’s Aldi and Trose are next door to each other. Do regularly do the weekly shop in Aldi for around £30 then top up in trose with the bits Aldi don’t sell. Always get surprised by how much you’d spend in trose on 6 items

I don’t think I’ve ever bought anything from an Iceland. Thoughts?

its mostly coz no one came in and there were actual night time staff to put the stock out. sometimes id chat to my pal on the kiosk for a bit, sometimes she’d come over to my checkout and we’d share a bag of flying saucers, mostly id stare into the distance until my brain checked out and i was, for all intents and purposes, asleep. gf tells me i still sleep with my eyes open sometimes

@Aggpass Iceland is definitely a supermarket.

Exactly the same set up on St. Mary’s Gate in Sheffield. Ideal tbh. House were moving to is very close to a large tezzareeno though so will see if I remain loyal to the aldi/trose mix and match

I don’t have a link a photo of the fisting of Norman Lamont. Apologies.

They do Greggs sausage, bean and cheese melts in there.

I think Iceland is very good for getting your freezer bits cheaply. They also do good deals on some tins and that as well.
