Facebook tells me there’s money off the Glasgow Distillery at the moment.

I will admit I was pissed when I bought both of them but the 1770 is delicious. I have to stop myself drinking it more regularly because it is that nice.

I have also nearly joined the Glasgow Malt Club but talked myself out of it because I can waste money on booze without joining an exclusive club of booze.

I’ve signed up for both the sour club and imperial stout club mailing lists, and while I haven’t spent anything as a result it’s only a matter of time

How smokey is it? I’ve got a friend who loves that sort of thing

Really good smokey. I can’t give you smokey out of ten but it’s got a really good charcoal background to it, with a bit of sweetness.

I’m comparing most whisk(e)y/ bourbon I drink to the David Nicholson 1843 I finished this year. That, the 1770 and Michter’s Sour Mash are my ATW/Bs.

Rittenhouse is my peak so far, though I bought a Four Roses single barrel for a friends Xmas and I really need to get myself some as that tasted real good
