Real trees all the way for me. Yes, they do get chopped down, but a plastic one won’t biodegrade for a billion years, so…

so… no recommendations for a fake one then? Haha.

Its fake, from asda! I’ll see if I can find it but its from a few years ago

Doesn’t look they’ve got any on sale at the moment but maybe in the next few weeks. I can’t find the original email but I think it was just the ‘pine’ and I guess 5 foot plus stand. I’ll look through my emails properly tonight.

Sorry, that was really unhelpful wasn’t it.

I was brought up with real ones, and have spent the years since justifying myself

Haha, no not at all, I understand. My fear with buying a real one again is that my tv loves trees and tried to keep the last one alive in the garden after christmas and I’m trying to avoid any heartache he might have when it eventually and inevitably dies

Is that a mammoth chunk of ginger I see before me?

Whist in every other part of my life I prioritise the environment, being able to buy a new, real tree every Xmas is a luxury to many. I’ve always wanted one that you repot and bring in again but I’m very dubious they’d survive long with this stresses of repotting and fluxes in temperature etc.

Just lost out on the plant pot I really wanted. Drove the other persons price right up though :grimacing: SORRY (not really, I really wanted that damn plant pot)

wonderful

Aww, that’s really quite sweet.

Might need to think about getting a tree myself this year. I don’t normally bother as I go to my parents for it, but I suspect that won’t be happening this year.

The cat will probably destroy it within about 10 minutes of it being put up, mind.

GPWM. The excesses of Christmastime are completely over the top.

Haha, your GBOCat
And yes, so sweet of him! But we did end up having a dead tree in the garden for months… in fact I’m wondering if it’s still there :grimacing: sorry neighbours
I’m wondering the same with regards to going to my parents for christmas  blub.
