Feeling increasingly worse m9s

Gonna eat something and drink loads of water then go to bed I reckon

Just got to the front of one immigration queue only to told I need to join the e-visa re-entry queue. I’ve not entered before on an e-visa… Still beats US immigration :joy:

Ah, an AT-home-alone classic :ok_hand:

Where’d you get it?

Its like indian cola

another good indian soft drinks is LIMCA

(fizzy lemon and lime)

Gonna get a curry. Not sure what to go for, usually get a mixed veg one or a chicken jalfrezi. Might get some bhajis too :yum:

Soft play is not an adult friendly environment.

But seriously, it’s fine. I go to a lot of things where I’m the only dad or one of them, and yeah it can a feel a bit weird at first but in my experience none of that ever comes from the women. I think they mostly appreciate someone turning up without feeling the need to go full I AM BEING A DAD TODAY and turn up dressed as Spider-Man.

This is nothing to do with gender, but The main thing I find tricky is how to break out of parent chat and have real conversations or get to know other parents. That whole “oh you’ll meet loads of new friends when u have kids” has totally passed me by.

I am actively trying to avoid this. When The Child is old enough to make friends, I’ll maintain those relationships with parents but I can’t think of much worse than a friendship solely based on having kids of a similar age…

Evening all!

I made carrot nuggets and served them in pitta bread with salad. They were excellent.

I also had a coffee porter and am now having a coffee dark IPA. Both were tasty.

These sound intriguing, do you have a recipe? (edit: by which I mean, a recipe to share, pretty sure you would have a recipe if you made them).

This is the basis but I stopped putting mayonnaise into it and use a higher carrot/ breakfast cereal ratio. I quite like using Shreddies but we used oats today and it was OK. I also make them into balls rather than burgers.

Was just about to say, you need one of these, they’re only about £3 from a chinese supermarket:

Thank you for the link, I will definitely try them out as they seem like the kind of thing R would enjoy just as much as I would :yum:

@meowington I did some mushrooms earlier with parsley and garlic per your recommendation and they went down a treat :ok_hand:

Any chinese supermarket will have one. Don’t buy a beer/coffee one day and get a steamer instead. :dumpling::dumpling::dumpling:
