This is me on my first day at work
The whole world seemed to descend on Devon and Cornwall. People on our road rented out their driveways to people with motorhomes and that. I don’t think I even glanced out the window tbh.
In reality, I was already struggling with pretty heavy body image issues. Was really surprised and pleased to find a picture of myself at that age looking happy and carefree.

They sold little cardboard viewer things you were meant to look through I think. There’s probably still a garage-full around here somewhere.
I remember it going slightly colder and darker and then on the telly they showed the full eclipse and I thought it was an old clip or something for some reason. It looked too perfect to be live.
I probably should have at least gone outside.
