You’re best asking work if it’s OK before turning one down. Most of my employers have been quite supportive.

Unless you don’t really want the job; in which case, as you were.

Sacking off work until tomorrow as a couple of ATDs are coming up on an impromptu visit instead so I’m feeling about 7x more up for this weekend now

I’ve never heard it! Must rectify that.

I have a bit of a soft spot for I’ll Sleep When You’re Dead too, even though it easily the worst of the three - cameos from the guy from The Mars Volta and Cat Power too.

Blah that lil rap bit on Keep Your Name is so pants!! Haha!

We looked at flats round there when we were moving away from Uddingston. Some were nice on the inside but you definitely get what you pay for.

Didn’t mean that to be a reply to @keith but cheers for the

Oh my.

got one on tuesday.

currently got some tutors saying - apply apply apply! and others saying, nah concentrate on placement etc and wait until after easter to worry about all that.

how’s the course going?

See, we’ve had recruitment fairs and stuff so its obvious people are applying for jobs. Its better to be ahead, i think, especially with this much competition. I guess alot of peoole get snapped up by their placement settings aswell. Course is going well, feel a bit slumpy atm but its mainly because it’s just hard to find the time to do things when I’d rather not do any of the things (i did get 70% on my masters assignment in leadership and management though, so im well pleased with that)
Just waiting for this tine next year when ill hating my job the same amount but for double the money :relieved:

If you see a job at a school you’d like to work at, apply. Don’t just apply for everything though because the amount of time it takes will drain time out of your teaching preparation and it’ll get you down if you don’t hear anything. Different authorities start advertising at different times - most of my friends who work in Teesside were employed in March; most of my friends who worked in Newcastle were employed in early June. I remember seeing adverts for Northumberland schools even after that.

I had four interviews (South Tyneside, Durham, Gateshead, Gateshead,) before getting my NQT job and it was quite late in the year before I was offered a job - I was a pretty poor PGCE student and not the greatest NQT so don’t use me as a role model…
