Morning Keith, hope you feel better soon! Hope everyone else is doing okay too!

Made a few inquiries about viewing some flats whilst listening to the Ebro in the Morning RTJ interview that @Kallgeese recommended :raised_hands:

Going to make another pot of coffee before checking out some of yesterdays new releases along with giving the latest Dirty Projectors album another try - @AllOfThemWitches did you listen to it the whole way through in the end?

First viewing done. Second bedroom could barely fit a single bed. Also, major damp problems. That was our least favourite from pics though. How’s your house hunt going?

The Rap Radar one I linked to is even better I think. El-P really delves into a lot of his background and they elaborate more on their careers pre-RTJ.

Wouldn’t they let you use the toilet?

We’re still at the gazing at pictures of property on the internet stage but I think we’re going to book in to see a mortgage advisor some time next week. Terrifying.

Coming to terms with the fact that I’ll never be able to afford to buy a house in Cambridge so am looking up north. Where’s nice? Do they have internet up there?

There was also a toy on display called Pirate Squirters but I didn’t get a pic because the shop assistant was giving me evils.

Glasgow, and yeah we got the internet

Fucking hell a 2 bed for £55k?

Oh cool, I’ll listen to that in a bit too then. It was rather sad to hear that Mike and El-P had both felt that they were going to quit the industry before starting RTJ but that this project was a real shot in the arm that they both needed. I’m not clued up on either of their solo careers - can you recommend a good place to start?

In my parents house. Got the new grandaddy blaring and my dad’s making cappuccinos. Gonna head into town later to watch football with some pals.

When we bought I found looking around houses really enjoyable and exciting.

But we did pull out of one purchase quite far down the kind though as we were buying from a big developer (it was a house someone else traded in rather than a new one).

There were a load of dodgy clauses in the contract one being they could buy it back from us at set fee as there was land adjacent they could build flats on.

Then they tried adding VAT on at the last minute which was absurd. I told them where to go and pulled out. They sold if 6 months later for £10k less than our offer.
Ended up losing a grand on that with surveys and fees etc.

But luckily the house we originally wanted but was taken of the market came back on and we got that. If worked out well, I love this house.

Someone recommend us an online mortgage broker who was fantastic. I remortgaged using him recently.

The albums they made directly preceding RTJ are what I’d recommend the most. ā€˜R.A.P. Music’ by Killer Mike (produced by El-P) and ā€˜Cancer 4 Cure’ by El-P. ā€˜R.A.P. Music’ is fucking incredible.

Check out Mike’s ā€˜I Pledge Allegiance To The Grind’ series if you want to go back further with him and ā€˜Funcrusher Plus’ by Company Flow, El-P’s original group. Love ā€˜Funcrusher Plus’ myself.

moving out of brexitshitehole in two weeks :+1:

have to sort out my entire life before then :-1:

not hungover so am going to celebrate this by drinking loads this afternoon while packing things up

This is the tackiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It’s also on an industrial estate, but it was the best I could find for the price. The centre of Salzburg is expensive and I need to get to the airport early in the morning and this was the place that was easiest access.

Haha thank you! For the prices that I’m being quoted just to rent round here, I might as well just move into London or up sticks to somewhere else - it’s ridiculous!

I just finished the DP album and once you get past Keep Your Name & Death Spiral, I think I quite like it too. Up in Hudson and Cool Your Heart being my personal highlights
