Only think I’ve had gin once - about 10 years ago. The student union bar did buy one get one free on about 15 drinks on a Friday night. Me and my mate made our way through the list one night, the shot of Gordon’s was the worst… Until we got to the Tia Maria.

He’s the new(ish) boy at work, he’s on my team when I’m on nights. Seriously into his homebrew, to the point he’s considering setting up a microbrewery. Brings me and the other bloke on our team samples. So far we’ve had a standard IPA, an orange IPA and now the Milkshake one. He’s got a raspberry sour on the go at the minute - that’s our next one if its up to scratch.

On our third set of shifts together at the moment - first time he brought us one bottle each; two bottles on the second set and this time he’s given us 4. Hoping it’s 8 next time.

Twice, 12 years ago for me. They bookended my last year at uni. First shot was when I was working across the top shelf for the first time ever during Freshers week.

Second and last time was my early birthday night out - same guy bought me a shot of gin again. Had the exact same effect (albeit I think I was about 40 units in, having handed in my dissertation earlier that day)
