They should know, the whole series was filmed months ago apparently.
on a Thursday afternoon.
Theyâre going to confirm the time/date of the next episode at 9.59pm on Sky One, this coming Saturday, so Iâd tune in then for the announcement.
Think it might be delayed because of the bank holiday.
You can depend on this cast to take an already funny script and then start riffing on a level thatâs frickin sublime
Like bin day.
Canât wait for this weekâs instalment. Any minute now!
This appears to be an American complaining that there are things in SNL UK that Americans wonât understand (while, weirdly, knowing who Brian Butterfield is)
Was this on last night?
It was (although it isnât next week)! I thought it was great too, probably the best one so far.
The Ian Wright teacher sketch couldâve felt dated but it was really well done, Emma Sidiâs Melania was spot on, the mastermind parody again couldâve felt a bit lazy but it was executed really well.
Shockingly, Jack Whitehall was really fun in his sketches, leaned in hard enough (although the monologue wasnât great)
I donât think there was a clear dud sketch at all, feels like theyâve really found their feet.
I would say that overall this episode was noticeably⌠hornier? Maybe theyâve all just spent too much time together over the last month ![]()
Dad Swap was the highlight for me.
I thought it was really good. And regarding Jack Whitehall, I know somebody that knows him and he has said that heâs one of the hardest working people youâll ever meet, in terms of preparing for whatever heâs coming on and arriving ready.
Ive invested so much money in this app
First one I actually watched, horrendous, not a single laugh.
Missed a sitter in the footballer child swap sketch too, one of them shouldve had an adult oil sheik
Found it tough work this week
It isnât on next week so we can skip a week of the âwhen is this on?â jokes
Stuck it on when I got back from the pub around when the football mascot kids sketch was on, and enjoyed it quite a bit for about 25 minutes, but then had to turn it off at the bit in the weekend update with the Gen Z correspondents, which I found completely baffling and annoying
the UK just isnât a very funny country
That was the one bit I found a bit rubbish. I do like the UK Weekend Update for the most part. They go for the jugular politically quite a bit for a mainstream channel. Plus the recurring BTS bit is funny.
I think it would be a much stronger show if if was an hour with ads. It always seems to outstay its welcome in the last section.
