When you hear the phrase ‘paid in cash’ what do you take this to mean?

  • Paid in full for an expensive item that is typically paid for in instalments but the method of payment itself could be anything
  • Paid literally using wads of cash

Nah I’ve heard people say ‘I paid in cash’ for things like cars and houses

I think they’re wrong but I get where they’re coming from so wish them well

It’s a bit antiquated I’ll give you that but maybe it’s that people my age are no longer paying for things in cash
