The drawer labelled ‘1’ is for powder if you’re doing a prewash. The drawer labelled ‘2’ is for powder for a normal wash, and the drawer with the flower symbol is for fabric softener.

What is prewash please?

I think maybe I’ve spent 25 years using the wrong drawer, but even realising this now, I’m not sure I can bring myself to change as it seems fundamentally wrong. This is almost as bad as when I found out there was a second hidden ‘r’ in February (aged 42).

Hiiiiiii everyone. Was hoping for a lie in but some dudes across the road are cutting teeny tiny branches and then chucking them in the loudest wood chipper on earth. Mumblecursemumble.

Going to pop into town to hopefully pick up a picture I have paid an obscene amount to frame, I have no regrets, nope… none… … … I regret it so bad.

Before the tremendous guilt of how much I’ve spent has hit me I’ll be buying a flat white and wandering around a bit, might get some nice bread and try on some boots.

My neighbours have just started drilling the adjoining wall between our houses. They’ve been continuously doing some form of diy like this for eight years. When the day comes that I snap and kill them no judge in the land will convict me I know it.

Was meant to be going to Enfield (from Cambridge… it’s a weird weekend) to watch a non league football match with 2 non league noobs. Match postponed because Enfield have no water supply. Ffs. Looks like I’m staying in Cambridge today!

Had a great evening with the kids last night. Made delicious chicken burritos while drinking beer and listening to records, then we watched The Apartment. I welled up at the end as ever

If you’ve got muddy clothes you can add a ‘prewash cycle’ to most washing programmes. It’s a cold water soak that, combined with a prewash powder (Eg Vanish or Biotex) loosens up dirt, before the main programme.
