Saturdayday

Apologising in advance for this but…

vive le france.

Anyway, utterly baltic up here. Wee man has swimming later but last week he went a bit blue in the pool cause the pool temperature was lower than usual and his lesson was abandoned, hoping thst doesn’t happen again.

Will watch football and probably grab a chinese or something.

Got some lingering diy, decorating and christmas shopping that i may try to squeeze in somewhere.

haven’t really slept at all because I’m coming down with something. fever + headache, beginnings of sore throat

supposed to be hanging out with two different groups of friends. no way I’ll be able to do that now

I’m barely around people enough to ever really get poorly, so this will have come from picking my niece up from guides. so like, being sort of nearby people for fifteen minutes. ughhh

Too late for breakfast now. Have another hour and then go and get stuff for lunch.

Morning,

No snow here, but you hardly ever get snow here. Sleet forecast for tomorrow though.

It’s the school Christmas fair today, which I guess I have to go to, then my other half’s birthday party at our house tonight, during which I have to somehow get the child to bed at some point. I could go a pint at some point today too. I wonder if I could persuade my other half that we should check out the newly reopened Admiral on the way back from school?

You are genuinely the only Scot I’ve heard express this sentiment this week.

By comparison, when we played Italy in the Euros, one of my football associates dyed his hair blue and he’s a massive Celtic fan.

I’m still ill as well so that’s been over a week now. I’m fairly sure it was that Strep A as I had very flushed cheeks. I’m really bored of being unwell now but it seems like it’s nearly over.

Why😂

Unrelated nativity sidenote. We had our dress rehearsal yesterday afternoon and just before one had to say their lines they vomitted all over the floor Infront of the whole school watching us :upside_down_face::relaxed:

Snow :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Meant to be going to Haigh Hall this afternoon do not want

Was gonna go do some irl Christmas shopping but all the rushing about/socialising on the last few days has hit me like a ton of bricks. Gonna nap and spend the day cross-stitching instead

Knackering two days at work Thursday and Friday so, despite having stuff I really should be getting to, I’m apparently just lazing around today (with the compounded tiredness meaning I’m in a state of hating myself which is nice)

On the way to get my haircut, Edinburgh is looking rather pretty this morning

Did you improvise the pie or follow a recipe?
It looks great!

If I can be assed getting out of bed and going to the shops then I’ll make a big pot of pasta e ceci.

Beautiful old old old old Edinburgh.

Not everyone is as petty and pathetic as me.

Daughter’s football didn’t get called off so it was up and out early. We all went, me and the youngest walked the dog while she played. Game is out in Hexham so we improvised a dog walk route which was cold but glorious.

Rest of the day is unplanned; there will be coffee, and then either something nice to cook, or a takeaway for tea.
