Watched it all near the start of lockdown.

Didn’t like the first season that much (the Alexis love triangle is easily the weakest part of the show from what I can remember) but loved the rest.

Along with Succession, the TV highlight of my year by a long way.

Got my whole team in work to watch it and now we’ve all been sending SC gifs on Teams for the last 6 months. There are so many.

My sister got me this card for my birthday.

My wife loves it, she’s started a rewatch with me and we’ve just got to S2. It’s fine so far.

i got her this card for her birthday

I’d love to be able to carry off what Alexis wears (we stan a headwear queen) but in reality i’d probably rock Moira’s wardrobe more

I loved this dress. Given that the entirety of the rest of her wardrobe was… scary I wasn’t sure if this was intentionally completely different?

I listened! (Not in that thread though, sorry)

Just so nice isnt it. Great characters, genuinely funny without an ounce of spite. Love it.

Big fan of ted, particularly his puns.

Oh and one for the ‘things you were slow to realise’ thread - didnt realise david was eugene levy’s real life son until about 3 episodes from the end.

Also, Twyla is played by Sarah Levy, who is Dan’s sister irl

I do this too

I knew the Home Alone thing, but I didn’t realise (until Mrs CCB pointed it out) that she was Cookie Fleck (again, with Eugene Levy) in Best In Show.

Like a lot of people I started watching this after everyone talking about it this year and saying how good the characters are. Watched the first two seasons of this a couple of months ago and then gave up. TV kept watching so I’ve seen a fair few further episodes.

Disappointed that I didn’t get in to it at all. Primarily I just thought it wasn’t funny. Didn’t feel any affection for the characters either. Worst of all is the Roland character who is so irritating and is in it so much. Might have persisted further without him.

Roland is definitely in the first season far too much. The main story revolves around him in most of the episodes.

In the other seasons I think he is used as more of a background character and is much more tolerable.

Sort of crazy how this reached peak popular culture/word of mouth exposure just as they decided to end it, wasn’t it?

Feel like they could’ve really cashed in if they’d done a couple more seasons.

Started watching this last night. Does it get better after season 1 like most American programs? It’s fine so far just struggling to see how it’s so well thought of.
