Exactly, I know it’s for comic effect and he can’t really be that dismissive/ignorant/ungrateful but to see someone reluctantly doing amazing things that people would kill for a chance to experience grates a bit IMO.

The M62 is one of the finest feats of British engineering. Smashing a motorway through The Pennines in the late 1950s was a remarkable achievement. People died building it.

I have motorway schtick where when you drive past a sign that says WELCOME TO ESSEX or wherever, i’ll stick my hand right out and say very quickly “I’M IN ESSEX BEFORE YOU”
