I have motorway schtick where when you drive past a sign that says WELCOME TO ESSEX or wherever, i’ll stick my hand right out and say very quickly “I’M IN ESSEX BEFORE YOU”

I’m out of practice but the old dears fucking loved me back in my days at the Newsagents/Bookshop/Stationers that I used to work at, dear old Mrs Brunger and Mrs Cowley were fucking devastated when I left, got me leaving cards and chocolate and that, the full works. Remember their names and the mags they like and they’re like putty in your hands mate.
