I’ve noticed some people recently pronouncing ‘z’ the American way, which is a fucking atrocity.

Thank Christ my wife is Canadian and agrees with me on a lot of this stuff, and especially Zed/Zee.

I have heard some Scottish people say this when I worked for Bank of Scotland. Threw me a bit the first time.

Imagine thinking H doesn’t start with a H.

In NI H is traditionally a giveaway if you’re a good catholic (haitch) or a dirty protestant (aitch)

When I was at school if were spelling something out phonetically we used to say ‘haitch for fenian’. Probably a bit insensitive with hindsight.

There are no rules. If they can say rang instead of wrong then there is no stopping them.
