Aberdeen’s first game is away to St Johnstone on a Monday night, which must be the most boring fixture we could have been given. Kilmarnock away on Boxing Day is a bit shit too.

Good to see that we derail The Rangurs championship hopes on the second game of the season.
Between 26th Dec and 11 Jan we have Celtic, The Ranjurs, Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen! That’s a tough run of games!
Bring it on though…we have made 8 new signings so far and another 3 contract extensions so providing we don’t lose Theo Bair or Lennon Miller we are looking in good shape.
Surely buying Theo Bair for nothing as our 4th choice striker then selling him for £1.6 million (plus additional £500,000 add ons) less than a year later has to be one of the best signings ever!

Would seem that the plan is for him to be number 1 for a year or two, then this Sinisalo who has signed from Villa takes over. Seems like a decent plan, at least, we’ll see how it goes.
Got my visa approved and ventured over the border into South Lanarkshire and to ‘New’ Douglas Park, which is just as shit as I remembered it.
Hopefully a good performance before our cup tie next week against Glasgow’s premier side, Patrick Thistle.

Jealous. Really wanted to be at the Aberdeen game today but failed to get one of the 12 or so tickets that East Kilbride’s away section appears to hold. Probably for the best though - Dull game being played like a pre-season friendly. Nice finish for our second, at least.
This transfer window has really rammed home how utterly fucked we, Rangers, are. Desperately trying to get something, anything for Tav and Goldson but who the hell is going to be their replacements. We certainly don’t have the cash to buy equivalent quality; although they both had their issues, i think that’s the level we’re at - we’re not going to vet flawless quality players in.
Lineups in pre-season games have made clear that we’ll still be forced to rely on dross that we want shot of, and how motivated are they going to be knowing they’re not wanted.
Thistle by far the better team so far!

Yeah, you were the better team for most of the match, although your keeper had two world class saves.
We were shocking, but a lot of that was down to Thistle not letting us play.

Given the chaotic signing situation i had guessed he’d be gone by Christmas but this is going to make that much more expensive in terms of compensation.
Don’t think I’ve ever looked forward to a season less than this.
