If they can sort out the opening and closing 10 minutes of their game, Annan look promising.
Considering that pish first half that’s a very good result. Two very good goals and Gassama looks like an exciting player.

First time at Ibrox in a very long time today.
Was only a friendly, not a full house and very very low stakes but vibes were pretty good. Didn’t hear any of the abhorrent songs, to be fair I couldn’t really make out what the lively ultras section were singing most of the time, and folk around us seemed reasonably sound. Might see if I can fit in the odd game here and there in future rather than avoiding the place like the plague.

We were fucking awful in the first half but better in the second half when folk nearer the first team were playing. Think Curtis actually might be a player, as asides from his poacher’s goal he also had another really nice move or two - just hope he doesn’t turn into mccausland part two.
Unless we sign someone really significant it would be madness to sell both dessers and igamane. One maybe but not both.

I am very worried about the style of play Martin is going for. Panathanaikos are a decent team but, oh my, our footering around with the ball in defence, our bypassing our midfield entirely, and us creating very very very little has been a feature of all the games I’ve seen so far.
Then there’s playing Souttar and Aarons out of position. Aarons gets to play out of position for the first 60 minutes and then shoehorned into midfield for the last third of games. Just seems crazy.
Also still got Dowell stealing a wage in the team and I’m just shaking my head over here.

Whilst we rode our luck big time that’s a great result against a tough team. Honestly wasn’t expecting us to get through. Some encouraging signs with new players but still a lot of worrying signs. But Martin gets the benefit of the doubt for now as he’s got a massive rebuild on his hands.

Mixed bag of a day transfer wise.
Got some teenager from Tottenham on a season long loan - not sure of the point of getting someone so young for a season.
If he’s great then he goes bye bye at the end of the season as we’ll never afford him. If he’s middling, then it’ll still cost us a chunk but not quite as much. Just can’t see it having many upsides.
Then we get shot of mccausland but only on loan.
And finally, long term target Conor coady signs for Wrexham instead of us.
Excited for tomorrow, mind you.
I’m excited too! So much so that I’m going to my first old firm league match for a long long time.

We’ve got Dowell on the pitch and Aarons at left back so you’ve got a good chance.
Honestly can’t remember the last time we humped someone in the league, so it’ll be tight as fuck. Also we’ve started the season poorly for the last few years.
Let the fun begin. Gonna be optimistic and say a nervy 3 2 victory. In my heart I suspect 1 each.
Man Dowell is pish. Some decent passages of passing here and there but mixed up with some real sloppy stuff.
Fuck sake. Knocked it about alright in the first half but created very little.
Second half was a lot worse and we never looked like we were trying to get the second and you could see Motherwell growing into the game.
We were absolute fucking dross in that second half
