I’m not sure about this narrative that it is really easy to qualify for the World Cup now. We got a bit of luck with Denmark being our Pot 1 team and a huge slice of luck with Denmark failing to beat Belarus at home. I know you can get a guaranteed shot at the play offs if you do well in the Nations League, however, the play-offs themselves are fraught with danger. If we hadn’t won our group, I would not have fancied our chances in the play offs. Therefore, I don’t think it will be easy in the future to qualify for more World Cups.

Add to that a Greece team that battered us at home earlier in the year, then proceeded to inexplicably “shit their britches” when the chips were down, to quote the great ‘C.M. PUNK’.
