It would appear 70% of Europe are drinking aperol spritz this summer.

ngl i think that’s a great pun (agree entirely with the rest of your post tho)

you should see how often it comes up on internet dating profiles

then again I think mine mentions beer so :man_shrugging:

I went there on a sunday afternoon a few weeks back (if it’s the one I think it is , the Old Albion?)

it was dead and the beer cost a fortune

No - the Gin Tub: https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/gin-tub-bar-brighton-review-no-phones-survival-drinks-a7178976.html

Apparently it used to be called H Bar? No, me neither.

I have also been into Old Albion though, and can confirm that it was just as you described. We downed our pints and went to the Neptune instead.

i love the Neptune, not been there for ages though

I’ve got a little GINFATUATION at the moment.

really wish i like gin but it’s disgusting

Simply drink tonic and if anyone asks to try any, smash your glass against the wall. Foolproof.

tonic is sadly also disgusting. it’s like the perfect combination of disgustingness.

will just have to wait around until scotch & soda becomes fashionable again i guess.

SGS claimed the posts were memes and therefore were not in ASA’s remit.

Gotta get on board with this tho, a gin-uinly a top bants legal argument.

Hahaha, I’ve been there. to order your gin there is a telephone on the table. You telephone the bar with your request and they bring it over (half an hour later in my experience).

Fuckin ell

Bet they slyly charge you for the phone bill at the end of the night

Gin is great, you’re all terrible. Not sure it’s any more fetishised than craft beer is now or whiskey has been forever

There’s an entertaining review of the Old Albion today on the local rag The Argus website:

I would like a t-shirt with this on
