can dress it up and really show it off with some homemade hollandaise, is equally at home taking a supporting roll alongside other greens. robust enough to accompany beef; delicate enough to pair with fish.

No because fruit grows on trees…I wasnt debating that but it is bizarre to think you would class broccoli as the same as an onion or carrot which is quite clearly not a plant

I’d like to put forward the humble carrot. Easy to steam when you can’t really be arsed, great in soups and stews, can be sea-spiced, has a pleasant phallic heft. The carrot.
