Not sure why. Sounded fine as it was.

Is there a sense of this as being a bit forgotten at the time of release? My dad is a big Cocteaus fan but I seem to remember he thought Four Calendar Cafe was their last album for ages
My Cocteau Twins mild take is that whilst M&K might not be their best album, it’s their most enjoyable album
Dunno, think it came out a few years after four calendar cafe.
(Which is a great album and Evangeline is their best song)
Love this record, sounds massive in parts.
Think there’s finally a good vinyl reissue on 4AD out but seems to only be available in the US at the moment.
Thought it was already remastered for the Fontana years box-set that came out not that long ago.
Same, but looks like they’ve done it again

Looks like Robin’s had another go at M&K and 4CC. Haven’t listened to the new ones yet to see if there is much difference, but agree that M&K is much underrated. Serpentskirt and Violaine are CT Top 10, for me. Gloriously spine tingly guitar-work.
After the major grumbles that Robin had about 4AD royalties, it does seem ironic to say the least that these get a new reissue on the label now. He never was the most consistent……
