Beretto by the new cinema in Stockport would be good for fussy kids and veggie options. How far/long are you thinking for walks?

The Globe in Glossop is a wonderful vegan pub with cheap beer and cheap food - some decent walks around there including the B29 plane crash site which should be easily sold to teenage boys as an exciting day out

@Slicky a few suggestions in Glossop but depends if you want to head this far , its a bit of a trek from Stockport but good if you’re making a day of it

Which art gallery? IWM is in Salford Quays so you could go to Vertigo as it’s completely vegan. Other than that it’s mostly chain restaurants, there’s a Wagamama and a Pret that would probably be best for you.

we have 14 now, but if there’s a drop-out before then, can we call on you?

Yeah, I’ll be free.

my friend Dean just dropped out, so you’re in!

Dean is a very big Simpsons fan also, so I semi-regularly drop a ā€œcrusty old Deanā€ into conversation

If youu’re in Stockport than Where the Light Gets In to eat but pricey and actually not for teens tbh, they do foodie Friday at the markets on friday nights and pre covid at least it was fantastic. There’s a new bakery that a GBOLs have opened that looks fab, called yellowhammer

And for general mooching there check out Rare Mags (owned by the brother of a lurker), and Underbank Studios for art

I love the Air Raid shelter museum in Stockport too.

As mentioned IWM is at Salford Quays but if that’s your only chance to get into manchester City centre then take it as its a bit bleak around the quays. Just jump on the tram, takes 10 mins ish.

PS. I’m around 6/7/8th if you want to have a coffee or something (the sat or Sun I’ll be able to get about 3 or 4 hours to myself, might run a tour but not decided yet)

Greens in Didsbury isn’t too far from Stockport as a veggie restaurant. 23 bus probably best public transport wise and takes about 30 mins to get you to a point that is 5 mins walk down Burton Road to Greens.

Still haven’t managed to get round to eating here.

I thought it was vegan too, for some reason

also I still have no idea where exactly it is. think I just thought I’d stumble across it eventually and decided not to google it.

ahhhh

turns out I just didn’t notice because they’re too cool for a sign
