“I see”

£50 hahaha fekk off

Took down the chained ogre. Getting increasingly frustrated by the lack of ‘respect’ for my time. What’s the point of sticking two enemies between the bonfire (can’t remember the term) and the boss apart from to cost me a minute or so of combat each run? Sure, Souls has always had boss runs but you can almost always fight nothing and then the fog wall kicks in.

Everything big hits too hard as well. That fight would be fun (the derpy WWF moveset of the boss is pleasingly dopey) but each mistake costing you 75% of your health is just a bit tedious.

I dunno, I think I’m reasonably good at these games usually but this feels a bit imbalanced at points.

Did you take it on with the Flame Vent added to your prosthetic? getting that was the turning point for me in that fight. Agreed that at the moment there seems to be moments in the game that feel very inbalanced but I’m hoping that is just down to the fact that I still need to get use to the game as it definitely asks you to approach combat differently from the earlier souls games.

Yeah I did have that. The cadence of that fight is the first time I’ve enjoyed how the game feels to play beyond the garbage grab attacks (one of which chucked me off the cliff edge after the initial 95% of my health being taken…).

My daughter watched me last three first ten minutes with the climbing up walls and hiding in bushes mechanics. “dad this is just like uncharted!”. Errr

God damn it! I’m brickwalling it with Shinobi Hunter Enshin of Misen especially as it take about 15mins per run at him to clear all the other enemies in between the bonfire and him.

Yeah this was my complaint upthread. Really frustrating

The ign review seemed to suggest that this game was easier than ds… :grimacing:

Hmmmmm - hard to say at this point. At points it reminds me a bit of Capra Demon. The time you beat it, it’s easy but the punishment for a slight mistake in a high octane fight is catastrophic every other attempt. Aaaaaand due to generic enemies surrounding bosses you have to spend time clearing the arena before every attempt.

I just spent 15 minutes painstakingly clearing the grunts surrounding the boss arena. Two hits from the boss and I’m dead.

That’s not Juzou the Drunkard is it? because if it is then I am at exactly the same point and having the same frustrations!

Nope, it’s a mini-boss. Which I’ve just ignored for now even though they seem to be key to upgrading your vitality to tank more than one big hit in the first place… But good to knoe there’s more of that to come!

Am I missing something about the Sekiro version of souls? As in the non-money currency. I dont actually know what to spend it on other than things to use the prosthetic (which I have plenty of)

Anyway, absolutely loving the setting. The few areas I’ve seen so far have been probably the most beautiful in all the fromsoft games

Is it anything like Nioh?

Noooooooooooo! Dear god.

Yes, just with less fun combat…

I don’t get what the money is for either.

You can buy stuff at the bonfire-equivalents (i gues s you have to find various items to unlock more stuff to buy)
