Considering helping promote a seaside gig (come along!).
Do any of the online ticket places allow for one-off/infrequent use by DIY promoters? I have zero experience with online tickets other than buying them.

Is one I see used most for like one off beer festival/tours and stuff, not used myself though.
I use See Tickets for mine. They just add a 10% to each ticket sold for a “booking fee” but there’s no subscription or expectation to sell a certain amount or do any number of shows.
Thanks, this is superb info!
WeGotTickets is great, and they don’t take a cut (they just add a flat booking fee). By far the best service we used.
(oh wait- looks like they’ve changed to 10%) no admin fees though
(and they allow for one-off, it’s all pretty quick to set up)
The local promoter here in Cambridge uses WeGotTickets and the experience (as a punter) is equally as straightforward, to the extent that I forget how terrible the ticketing experience is for basically anything else (looking at you, Dice).
Eventbrite also works for one-offs - we use it at the pottery studio for our events and courses - and it’s basically fine.
I’m using Skiddle for a one off. Seems fine but is taking £1 off every ticket as a fee. Friends have used Fatsoma and also happy with that.
I think I’ll try wegottickets next time though!
Always used to use wegottickets. Easy enough to use and I’d go back to them if I were doings shows again.
You might be aware of this but if not, worth knowing that most ticket providers won’t release the funds until after the event, to cover themselves in case you cancel.
yeah WGT is the one that the tiny/indie promoters use here, when you’re talking bar attic/backroom style shows
They also have killer customer service (biased because I know them but it’s also true)
Yeah I used WeGotTickets when I used to put the occasional gig on — really rate it. Unusually for a ticketing agent it’s not run by corporate evil
WeGotTickets appears to be the winner then! Thanks so much lads!
