Saw the MIA documentary. Loved it. Fascinating portrait of a complex person with a complex background. Made me want to revisit a lot of her songs too.

Good to hear. Was a huge fan bitd. Do Elastica get a mention? There were mutterings that may be the case. Supposedly she has a whole raft of late 90s footage of them on tour as she was intending to make a film about them.

A Simple Favour - a pretty silly film but there is a scene where Anna Kendrick sings along to Ante Up so it automatically goes into my top five films of 2018 so far
Yep it gets covered and some footage of Justine and her having a bit of a row.
Absolutely loved the film - could have easily watched another hour. Forgot how much of an overreaction the Super Bowl incident got.
Good stuff I’m actually looking forward to this.

Face Places was great. A gentle sweet road movie glimpsing into people’s life for a short while. Simple but brilliant.
Molly’s Game was pretty all over the place. Even for Sorkin that was too much damn dialogue, could barely keep up.
JC and Idris were great though as per.
The Little Stranger. last third completely derails in , a bit of a mess unfortunately
I’m half way through Annihilation and bored to tears. Does it liven up much?
No. Some lovely music but that’s about it, the end was total nonsense.
