So far, no - thought isn’t one of them formerly from Jethro Tull or something?

No, my mistake - Pete Wishart was in Big Country and Runrig!

Wait, have just re-read it (I was quick reading it earlier in between working on a deadline) - I misread David Allen Green as saying that it would fail in London, but what he meant was that the ruling today would have likely not happened in court in London because of the legal differences. My mistake, and hence why I was confused

That’s what I was wondering, thank you for clarifying.

I don’t understand why Sam Coates has this slightly gormless pic of himself on Twitter

You’d have thought he could get a better still from the same reel, let alone some kind of professional headshot?

No I give in. What point is everyone or indeed anyone trying to make there?

Is he…trying to sound like Oskar Schindler or something…?

Farage is just positioning himself to be outside of any blame if Brexit fails, though. Regardless of my feelings about the Tories it would be hugely insulting to their voter base to not run a candidate in constituencies and instead ask people to support the Brexit Party.

Farage would pledge to give the Tories a clear run at all their existing seats and targets if the Brexit party were to get a similar deal in 80-90 constituencies. Johnson would also have to sign up unequivocally to a no-deal departure.

It seems like he’s offering an unacceptable deal to me. If the Brexit Party was just to agree to not run anyone then I guess that might work for the Tories.

I’m enjoying imagining Brexiteers spluttering into their Daily Mail if the UK supreme court agrees with the Scottish court

That Icarus failed?

The headline is different on the site though. Don’t know if it was chagned after the tweet

The tweet still says he’s the Brexit Icarus, so they really need to be more co-ordinated!

Or they’re just trying to get more people clicking through

I’m sure it’s a change as the Tweet and the headline in the Tweet still say the wrong thing. Probably Twitter doesn’t poll for new metadata very often. Even the SEO URL seems to imply the original headline (colon to avoid making an actual URL link to them) “:telegraph.co.uk/politics/2019/09/11/nigel-farage-brexit-icarus-can-see-us-fly-eu-freedom/”

What a byline
