Wouldn’t write us off defensively. Three of the back four that have only conceded 35 goals in 46 games with the most clean sheets etc (and that broadly tallied with the quality of chances we were giving up with xG).
Four of the goals we’ve conceded so far were away at Liverpool, and bar a dodgy 10-15 minutes we were comfortable today.
Sounds like we’re targeting another option in the transfer market and hopefully Rodrigo De Paul, who’d help a lot with giving us that midfield control we thrive on. A little lacking in that department without Hernandez and Forshaw, but hopefully both will be fit to play a part this season.
Can’t say I know loads about Koch but he’s a Germany international and hopefully not a Bundesliga wasteman. Could argue he was naive for both the penalties he’s conceded but also argue neither should’ve been given.
