It wouldn’t solve serious mismanagement by owners and chairmen, or the game at the highest level being rotten to the core, but I honestly think something that could have a big impact on lower-league and non-league clubs would be a) a designated night during the week when no football above League One level is allowed to be played/televised, and b) extending the TV blackout to include Saturday lunchtimes.
More chance of Moses walking through the front door, obviously, but most Saturdays I get up and think I’ll go to watch Bury or Bolton or Macclesfield, but then see, say, Wolves v Spurs is on so fuck it off.
