Utterly shameless

Let’s be honest this week with the corona rises, Grenfell betrayal and No Deal announcement has been the most striking lurch to the hardest of hard right futures we kind of knew they wanted - if Labour don’t pull into the lead now I can only conclude they literally never will.

Ivana whowho

None of those are going to hurt the Tory vote because respectively a) they think the government’s doing its best/don’t think the rona is real/think the young and minorities should be sacrificing themselves to keep the whole thing going anyway, b) don’t give a shit and c) No Deal is Good, actually.

For as long as the Tories manage to shelter their coalition from the material effects of their policies, and the opposition are offering “same shit but more efficient”, they’re going to be on 40 points or thereabouts.

So weird to think now how something like Black Wednesday cratered the Tory vote in the 90s (though maybe it was always going to fall apart after their improbable 1992 victory anyway?)

Daily reminder that the lib dems are scum.

Just seen that the Tory MP for Kensington, has voted against making the Grenfell inquiry recommendations a lawful requirement. An MP who only narrowly won the seat from Labour by 150 votes, following a Lib Dem smear campaign and Sam Gyimah (former Tory) sucking up 9,000+ of the votes.

PSA over.

no idea how anyone can honestly think that leaving without a deal is a good thing

I have the very slightest, tiniest hope that no deal actually happening might wake the dickheads the fuck up to what has been going on with the putrid Tories.

Having said that I thought lockdown might change things. What the fuck is the point.
