The juxtaposition of our two posts really made me smile

(…through gritted teeth)

I am unable to vote on this because I feel like “wouldn’t care” embodies refusing to even acknowledge anything’s changed while “would care” implies being a dreadful controlling partner.

On that basis of ‘wouldn’t care’ I am now thinking of how far @epimer could carry this

if his partner came home with a shaved head out of the blue, TBH.

When I started going bald the hairdressers asked if they should cut it in a way that hides the gaps (or words to that effect).

After I left I went to Argos and bought some clippers. That was it. All off.

Imagine if you had decided to do it there and then.

  • Alright Boss what will it be? You want me to try and do something to cover up the thin bits, now I’m no magician but …

presses index finger gently against his lips

  • Not today my good man. Take it all off

  • You are magnificent Boss

  • Thank you

oofft, undercuts are so cool. My friend, after years of working for a fancy school is finally just going “fuck it” and doing whatever the she wants to her hair. Undercut, dying it purple, etc etc. She looks very cool.

I was thinking I’d really love to do something drastically different and a bit more… ahem, edgy. Like some kind of blunt shorter bob that’s dyed red. So basically @slicky then  haha. Would not be able to pull it off at all.

I almost got a Peaky Blinders haircut the other day. I know i’d be about two years behind the trend, but after initially thinking it looks ridiculous i think i’ve changed my mind. Trouble is, you’re looking at a haircut on a very handsome man with a very normal-shaped head, it’s not going to look anywhere near as good on someone whose head falls somewhere between a baking potato and Alan Brazil. My worry is that good haircuts look good on attractive people, and, a bit like with most hats, or a good suit, stocky men just won’t pull it off.

Hypothetically, though, putting your hatred of the working classes aside, is it a good or bad look (for an adult male, not living in the 1930s)?

  • Good look
  • Snigger (I’m a Tory)

I had a hair cut not that long ago but didn’t get nearly enough hacked off :grimacing: I’m thinking this was a mistake. it’s a bit long. Considering my hairdresser costs like pretty much 70 quid this was some bad judgement on my part.

I think all of the actors have said it’s a right pain in the arse having to walk around in daily life with that haircut.

Its like they kept there flat cap on when going for a haircut

Things I don’t like about mine:

  1. Very VERY grey
  2. That itchy phase near the beginning
  3. Accidentally pranging a concealed spot
  4. Having to actually maintain it being as hard as shaving (mainly having to trim around the mouth to stop me from eating hair all the time)
  5. Strange looks from children
  6. Dampness of face after washing

Things that are OK about my beard:

  1. Looking like Captain Birdseye
  2. Facial warmth
  3. Not having to shave

That has to be a wig

what if they got a load of botox that got rid of their wrinkles but looked really plastic and weird

non-anon poll

  • would care and would say
  • would care wouldn’t say
  • wouldn’t care
  • dump

Wife-o had an undercut for years and when we were in Saigon a very friendly waiter told her she looked like Rihanna. She had to get it shaved at a barber because her hairdresser ‘wasn’t insured’ to buzzcut women’s hair
