Fucking stupid

last couple of eps were ok - but i saw the second one first so got a BIG spoiler and otherwise wasn’t sure exactly what was going on - but tonight’s was pretty shite.

at least it hasn’t been as fan-fictiony as the last series i guess

The worlds greatest detective didn’t know he had a sister or brother.

Same as Moffat’s Dr Who run. Great and clever first season, decent follow up, overly complicated and nonsensical third followed by an entertaining car crash of a fourth. He’s great on his day but throws too much at things and loses sight of the clever little touches you initially loved for silly, swift twists.

Sherlock fandom right now:

I feel like fans of sherlock are singled out a bit unfairly when the truth is that everyone with a tumblr or twitter account is a complete cunt

Gorky’s lead singer

They refer to themselves as ‘the sherlock fandom’ though. Pricks.

I would like to see how they’re attempting to convince themselves that this car crash was good TV, maybe @hip_young_gunslinger and @whiterussian can help us work it out idk

It’s supposed to be ridiculous isn’t it? I’ve been going into each one with no expectations and have been enjoying them, it’s just a bit of fun really. Admittedly, fun that can be quite harrowing.

I didn’t say it was good, just that I enjoyed it. It was ridiculous, overwrought, silly, incoherent, but the combination of noise and colours was somehow pleasing to me.

If you love Sherlock so much why don’t you marry it

This could be a review of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, FWIW.

LOVE people who watch this and the walking dead (+ dr who etc etc) just so they can express how much they hate it.

this secret fourth episode is absolutely beast

Pretty ballsy to focus entirely on emily watsons character. Interesting to see where it goes

TBF I (and it seems like most people ITT) watched this series with the genuine hope that it would be good. It just was very, very not good

Someone I know linked to an article about pissed off people within the really demented sections of Sherlock’s fan base. One tweet was really annoyed about the perceived lack of plot in whatever that show on was, which struck me as profoundly ironic after that last episode.

I enjoyed this series generally, which is why it’s weird how much I’m slagging off that last episode. But I need to stress the reality that watching that finale is enough to drive anyone to go to the NHS website to check through the symptoms of a severe concussion.
