Problematic film but I’d be lying if I said certain scenes wouldn’t still make me laugh.

watched that film with three uni friends

they all thought it was great, and I pretended I agreed so as to not kill their vibes

had to pretend to remember it fondly/at all whenever they referenced it

guy who got punched is good on Tim & Eric tho

More, thought it was good when it came out and laughed a lot. Didn’t make me laugh when I caught a bit of it recently though.

not a bad film all said tbh. have a soft spot for films released in that period. Pineapple Express, 40 Year Old Virgin, Anchorman etc. great films, mates. great films.

there’s this bit in pineapple express that is just part of my regular lexicon now. A scene where Steve Franco or whatever his name is says, ‘business for the businessman’.

The way Tyson doesn’t even know them or anything just three strangers in his house, instead of asking who they are or what they’re doing there he gets them all singing. And then knocking him out for no reason

the bit where Ben Stiller goes ‘of course…’

Franco’s a prick, but the “battery’s dead” scene remains one of the funniest things ever and I couldn’t even tell you why

It’s even funnier in the context of Rogan’s character just wanting him to shut the fuck up and give him his weed so he can get out of there.

Why doesn’t Hollywood make comedies anymore? I honestly can’t remember that last one that actually made it to a cinema.
