Police appear to be saying there are multiple perpetrators although not clear if it’s just one gunman and an accomplice driver, or multiple gunmen. All of them got away from the scene…

I’ve been told in the office that most of the city is on lockdown, they’re taking this very seriously. We’ve been advised not to leave the building until further updates. Lots of people on Facebook sharing photos of the city in areas which are usually bustling but which are currently mostly empty aside from armed police.

A photo someone else took of the forecourt just outside Utrecht Centraal which is usually an ants nest of people.

Impossible not to have the same thought considering that Erdogan has been very publically addressing what the NZ terrorist said about Turks in his manifesto; adding that in brackets seems very transparent in it’s intention.

Yeah, I mean impossible to know why they’ve put it. My best guess would be the police added it to help jog people’s memory if he’s a casual acquaintance but the obvious implication wasn’t considered. Not great regardless though.
