How jazz?

Depending on the occasion I’ll go either old fashioned (white square + white shirt or colour silk tie with matching colour square)

or if it’s more casual I’ll be a bit more along these lines. (I don’t like how absolutist that is personally and think matching definitely has it’s place if you’re being daring, but it makes good points)

I have a really nice pure blue silk tie which I will wear with a yellow pocket square (originally I was actually using a yellow cotton sock, but I now have a proper square)

I personally with a suit like this would stick to a more simple colour, if not just white. I have some nice burgundy, grey and pale blue shirts (as well as a few nice patterned shirts) but I feel with a suit like this it would be over doing it, and it’s better to add colour via the tie and accessories. Whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident is always going to be a winner though!

Really tempted to book a holiday.

MUST. RESIST.

The branch of Staples in my hometown is closing down, so I popped in with a friend to see if they had anything good a couple of days ago. She wanted a new diary, and they had a display with a big pile of quite nice diaries reduced to 10p, which seemed incredible. So she bought two, in case her bf wanted one.

Today I got a text “WTF- I bought 2x 2016 diaries”. Neither of us noticed, I guess because we just assumed they wouldn’t have a big display of last year’s diaries. Good work Staples.

Took a pair of shoes I got for Christmas back, they didn’t have any in my size in the shop, so they gave me a gift voucher for £100, I then get the shoes online, but apply my student discount, meaning I have a spare £11 to spend. Fucking score

buy 110 chomps, will last you almost half the year!

dunno what year you travelled to to post this, but they’re 25p now.

I’m sure we’ve already established that red trousers are always a bad choice unless you’re Jack or Meg White.

:open_mouth: the world is going straight to hell. what about freddo?

SAME, MATE

I bought a new pair of trousers from the mens’ section in H&M and I can actually fit things in the pockets. Is this what male privilege feels like?

20p each if you buy 5 at once

That’s where we keep it.

Bought a nice mid-layer for not being fucking freezing when outside.

Campers in the sale (they’re my chrismas present)
I need a new phone, I’ve kept mine almost perfect for 7.5 years but the battery is finally going

(what phone should I get, i’m probably going to get one of those moto g things, everyone was raving about them a few years ago but I don’t know if they’re sill rated)

Moto G4 or Play look fine. If you want to pay a bit more, the OnePlus Three is great, so the 3T is presumably even better.

I’ve just bought a Moto G4 plus for £185. I’m pleased with it so far, coming from an HTC One M8. The only downsides so far are:

Lack of NFC for Android pay
Lack of infra red blaster for being a dick and changing TV channels without the remote
It gets a bit hot with heavy usage and charging
Very occasionally there are phantom touches, where it thinks I’m touching the screen but I’m not. Wiping the screen seems to resolve this.
