Short break recommendations

  • Europe only.

  • £100 return maximum, so filtering out countries i’ve been to and one or two that seem a bit unsafe, idk, i’m left with the below list.

  • Preferably somewhere with flights under three hours.

  • Cheap pivos.

  • A beach maybe?

  • Nice food

  • Nice architecture

Montenegro
Cyprus
Hungary
Bulgaria
Austria
Greece
Sweden
Luxembourg
Switzerland
Malta
Latvia
Slovakia
Spain
Holland

Thanks in advance, friends.

Have you been to Seville?

Fits the criteria apart from the beach.

Albanian Riviera.

Sevilla ticks many of your boxes, minus beach. Think you’d really enjoy a football match there too

another vote for davidoff cool seville

luxembourg is boring AF

Top of my list actually. Heard a few people say it’s the nicest city in Spain.

Think there’s a direct flight from here as well now.

What was the food like?

oh, Montenegro is fucking brilliant, v cheap pivo, loads of beaches, beautiful:

Seville’s class. Knock Malta off your list, it’s dull as all hell.

The food was wicked.
Super cheap, loads of nice bars for tapas, literally everywhere has someone carving jamon iberico off the bone.
We’d have maybe a few beers, some wine, a few plates of tapas for about £20? Then move onto the next place and do the same tbh.

Tell you what I realised the other day, Cyprus is nowhere near where I though it was*, its bloody miles away!

*Basically about 5 miles off the coast of greece

Blackpool’s nice this time of year.

Estrella is dirt cheap as well. Spent a whole afternoon drinking those little cups of beer and reading a book, ended up spending about €8.

Thing I liked the most about it was that you could just pop into a bar and there was no obligation for you to drink loads or eat loads, you can just stand up the bar, have a plate or two and go off. It felt super chilled and no pressure which is good for a city break as sometimes places can seem a bit intimidating.

Top tips for Sevilla:

  • don’t go too mad on the free sangria during happy hour
  • don’t eat the oranges
