Brno, CZ.

  • You get to hang out with me
  • Under one pound quid per pint of pivo
  • Flight is under 2 hours (but from Manchester you’d have to go via Prague, Vienna or Bratislava)
  • Beautiful architecture
  • Chilled vibe
  • Great food if you’re into stodge

“Ahh, the famous Seville oranges, fresh from the tree no doubt. Can’t wait to taste the delicious OH GOD IT’S LIKE SOMEONE MADE A GRAPEFRUIT OUT OF EARWAX”

I really want to go to Sweden but I feel it would be super expensive when I’m there.

Really want to do a few days in the non-Prague bits of Czechia. I’ve heard Olomouc is amazing too.

Another vote for Seville. Also Valencia is great as well, and has a beach.

The main reason i’ve never been to Spain is because i’d like to do it as one long trip, maybe spend a month mooching around. I’ve got a map of professional and non-league football clubs (482 in total) and would basically like to just eat and watch games for a few weeks.

If someone was going to do a tour of, say, half a dozen cities, where would you recommend? Obviously i’m going to go to Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, few people have said go to San Sebastien and swerve Bilbao, idk.

strongly recommend Karlovy Vary. Lots of people in tracksuits drinking from the springs in weird containers, amidst brutalist communist architecture and beautiful natural surroundings.

Still haven’t been to Olomouc, it’s only an hour away. Will do soon. Mikulov and Znojmo are both beautiful though.

If anyone fancies a cheap trip to Brno I would be happy to put you up. Stansted to Brno via Ryanair is normally 60 quidish return

Already done the Granada tour, mate.

They kicked me out of Roy’s Rolls.

I preferred Granada to Seville.

Also it’s not a city but the Tabernas desert is fucking WILD AF and Mojacar is a nice place to spend a few days.

San Sebastian is the most beautiful place I’ve been to.

Cadiz is lovely, about a couple of hours from Seville on the train.

I loved Bilbao, and thought that San Sebastian was fine.

I’d definitely go to Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Bilbao, Granada and Valencia. San Sebastian is a short coach ride from Bilbao if you only want a day there.

Reckon Seville is the best place that I’ve ever visited. Went to Bologna a few years ago as Ryanair fly there and that was really worth visiting

Heard quite a few people say Bilbao’s the Spanish Manchester - i.e the people are nice but it’s pretty grey and wet.

Yes, I think that’s fair, maybe crossed with Gateshead in terms of the flashy art venues too. There’s loads of interesting stuff happening in the old warehouse areas as well.
