Should FIFA allow the home nations to wear poppies on their kits?

Is this the official poppy thread?

They should only allow poppies if the players elect to get them tattoo’d on their neck or sutin

any players who don’t get a poppy tattooed on their face should have to phone up the parents of a dead soldier to explain their reasons.

Should’ve made the votes visible to show who’s gone full Daily Mail, but I’m a democrat, damn it all to hell.

I mean I think it’s pretty obvious anyway.

nah

players can wear a poppy wristband or something instead if they want which is fair enough

Nah that seems like basic disregard for the entire thing tbh

couldn’t give a fuck about it obviously but this new statue is hilariously misjudged - http://stv.tv/news/features/1371645-annual-appeal-why-people-started-wearing-the-poppy-95-years-ago/

“will you start the fans please?!”

That (or a copy) was stood in cardiff for a bit
Horrendous

that’s the option though

No, but only because some English Brexit wank will try to poke a plucky Scotchman with the pin.

 It’s just that if it’s possibly bad taste to wear one, maybe they shouldn’t

Oh yeah quite possibly! I don’t really have an opinion either way tbh, I would probably reckon the team shows their support before the match somehow and leave the football pitch for football is for the best

Nah they should compromise. The players should stand in the centre circle for two minutes at the beginning with their heads solemnly bowed, while the crowd all does that Iceland clap thing.

It’s what Wilfred Owen would have wanted.

I’m thinking maybe the teams could dance around a burning EU flag in the centre of the pitch Wicker Man style before kickoff

My first thought was “this is a health and safety issue” cause its a pin, isnt it

Disciplined!

Should be banned from the world cup

But it’s Rooney’s last! Who are they to deny him a piss up in Nizhny Novgorod?
