So, I don’t like cats much - only ever owned one & he was a pain in the arse - but some friends’ cats just had 5 kittens & the TV & the 6yo are bugging me DAILY about us taking one. I am slightly negative to the idea & the teenager is liek

Best thing about them is that they fend for themselves. If they can get in and out during the day, even better

We have an inside cat (because we live near 2 main roads an a train line) and she seems pretty happy. I work from home most of the time and can never really find her to hang out in the day time. Then in the evening she’s pretty sociable.

We also got a rescue cat who had previously been an indoor cat and shows no interest in ever being outside (we tried to invite her to the garden in summer and she took one step out then bolted back inside and hid under a bed for an hour
