Drop scones are slightly different, no? I guess maybe it is all the same thing just about the size of the pancake.

I haven’t bought scotch pancakes since some weird decision in all supermarkets that they would ONLY sell golden syrup varieties. Odd. Used to love having the plain versions with butter layered on.

Think my flatmate is making pancakes later, prob wouldn’t have bothered otherwise. Got my RetroPie setup arriving today so looking forward to playing a bit of Majora’s Mask later

Don’t think you make a good set of pancakes in 6 minutes mate. I reckon it’s at least 5 mins just to make the batter.

I did a few. Peter straub’s ghost story (started good, got really bad), shirley jackson’s haunting of hill house (low key and very good,i like it more in retrospect), stephen king’s the long walk (arduous but good) and rosemary’s baby.

Today is the anniversary of the Moorgate Tube Disaster. I watched a bit of a documentary about it and one of the firemen said loads of passengers in the front carriage suffocated while they were trying to get in there to get them out. :frowning2:

yeah i’d really recommend it if you want something that’s kind of low key and atmospheric. it’s not really “horror” by modern standards.

ooh one more as well, i read ancient images by ramsay campbell which was decent. it’s british and had a bit of a wicker man vibe about it.

no clue, was the first of his i’ve read. it started out in a non-linear way and was quite elusive and creepy for a time, but the more it revealed the worse it got, and ended in absolutely howling cliches.

Ah okay, cheers. I’ll see if I can find some pointers to his best stuff then. I think The Talisman is probably one of my favourite books in the genre.
