I find it quite fun to pronounce a silent b: thumb, womb, comb, etc.

I think the ‘b’ is only silent in ‘thumb’ from your examples. With ‘comb’ and ‘tomb’ it’s more of a ‘cheeky B’, in that it’s doing some work to change the pronunciation, but not what you would expect.

What if I say ‘comb’ like ‘combination’ without the ‘ination?’
