It’ll be the king by then I reckon

ugh, wish they’d waited til he retired

The honours system shouldn’t exist in its current form.

Where’s MY book deal?

Would have been really funny if he’d turned it down, if only to see the reaction of the ‘Come on Tim!’ Daily Mail readers.

Not sure it’s a good idea to knight someone with such a tiny head, tbh

Not too embarrassed to admit that my opinion of Murray has changed completely over time. Obviously there’s no point really going into the non-merits of these sort of titles, etc, but if we are going to reward sportsmen and women then it’d be hard to think of a more rewarding recipient. Even if he was a massive twat, competing against the people he has in the era he has is an absolutely phenomenal achievement. Admittedly it’s only tennis, but even if that’s a largely pointless sport for rich kids there are still some human lessons to be taken from Murray particularly.

Reckon there should be a minimum age for knighthoods, 50 or something. Now we all live longer there are going to be loads cluttering up the place. Bet they don’t even fit around the table any more.

Was he a massive twat? He just seemed a bit surly which I quite enjoyed really

He’s just Scottish, basically

Called it

Not much point being a knight of something that doesn’t exist any more
