These two…oh my god.

Great band, Chris Olly is still regularly releasing music on his bandcamp across all sorts of styles although I haven’t kept up with it all.

Excellent band. I always liked this one

Great band, their first record is flawless and plenty of other fab stuff over the years

Always gets me going. Also dangerous to drive to.

Early b side. First two albums were excellent, but I completely lost interest after that and can’t really remember why…

Can remember their debut album - on CD - being extremely challenging for my CD player.

Sometimes it would spit it out and orher times it would skip all over the shop. Bought a replacement and it had the same problem.

And that’s the end of my story.

Time to recount the story that I once turned up to one of their shows at the Scala a week late.

That’s it. That’s the story.

They were at one of our Notts shows and afterwards told us we were too loud.

Six By Seven thought we were too loud. Badge of honour right there.

Spy Song’s long instrumental coda is amazing. As is European Me.

Which band were you in?

Oh, long forgotten noisy boys The Recovery. Was at The Orange Tree w/Union Station Massacre and Chris and one of the other lads were there.

Ah according to my archives I saw you with anathallo, definitely remember you being around the scene. Never saw union station massacre though I recall liking a couple tracks. Orange Tree was a weird venue

Anathallo and Manchester Orchestra? Cos we definitely did that show at the Social. Played with Anathallo at Bristol Louisiana too though, for Dot To Dot i think.

USM were great but definitely did not give a shit, which i liked.

Similar here. Possibly because it felt like they were on the verge of a proper breakthrough but it never happened?

Saw on them on the first album tour at The Astoria (RIP) supported by And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead. Good show that…

High five!

Excellent gig.
I remember Truckers Atlas playing over the PA before the show too. One of those minor details which stuck in my mind. Great stuff. Fun times.

Seen them so many times. Such a good band.

For those who ducked out after the 1st two albums, some things to try out from their later business:

Remember this album being tainted by the frankly awful cover for me. Back when album artwork mattered a damn.

Yeah, I don’t think I saw Manchester orchestra though
