Skyrim!

What kit are you thinking of specifically?

I have steel armour, a helm a shield and gauntlets (of being a bit more damaging with a bow)

steels good to start with, you can buy better gear or craft it or find it in places. the rank is roughly iron, steel, dwarven, elven, orcish, glass, ebonyy, daedric.

if you need cash money at the start then chopping wood and selling it to the landlady at the inn in whiterun is handy, but time consuming

there’s tonnes of ingredients to pick to make potions. always carry loads of health potions you don’t want to die!

get to grips with enchanted items and soul gems

get a follower they can make it a bit easier on the road and it’s nice to have some companionship

Skyrim:Skyrim - The Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages (UESP) is a great site for tips and information and etc

oh man im jealous you’re experiencing this game for the first time

my phone screen is broken so forgive my

got bored of Lydia, jordis and mjoll are my new friends

Cheers. I have like 1860 gold. I actually slaughtered a load of guys in elven armour but it seemed to be rated worse than what I had so I left it. Hmm.

I have do much good, so many ingredients and random books. I need a place to store stuff as I don’t have the pockets.

Really want to try and sell all this leather I’ve accumulated

Catch up with the important story details of the previous game Oblivion

Yeah if you upskill in archery you can get perks that zoom in (and I think slow down time?) when you aim.

You’ve probably figured out by now that you increase skills by using them, but there are also specialist trainers in each skill you can pay to level up. Yer wikis will tell you where to find the trainers for each skill.

Fwiw I skipped the civil war bit entirely because the imperials and the storm cloaks are fucking dicks. I started a new game and sided with the nice imperial man but as soon as we got to the torture chambers I was like “wtf have I done”

Also need to go back into my old game and marry Farkas

Sorry, :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:farkas :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Wait, you make it sound like you can get away from the dragon without following the imperial dude at the very start?

I just went where the marker said. When we got yo the torture chamber he says something like, “This is fucked actually, sorry” and possibly we killed the guards there.

Oh no, you can’t, you have to follow him all the way through - I killed the torturers though.

Aha, thanks.

Yeah I think this last session where I got the dragonstone tablet I understood how the perks were separate from the skill levels. I had initially thought the perks were upping my levels.

you can choose to follow either the imperial guy or the stormcloak guy at the start when escaping helgen, it doesn’t really matter though as the only differences are opinions on the war and house in riverwood

Oh right, it seemed like I only had one option but I was still trying to make sense of it.

It wasn’t until I got to his home and chatted I even realised he was with the guys trying to execute me, TBH.

those draugr are creepy as heck huh
