Slippers recommendations

What are the best slippers for keeping your feet really warm?

I’ve got some where there’s no back, so you can slip them on super easily, but I feel like this design means that they’re not as warm as they could be.

Anyone got any strong feelings on slippers?

Talk to me.

My father would always say to me “where are your slippers?” and now I am usually barefoot

I just can’t bring myself to buy crocs, and the holes in them don’t lend themselves well to this time of year.

This is a genuine concern when trying to walk up and down stairs sometimes with my backless ones. Especially bad when simultaneously carrying something heavy / cumbersome.

Got a pair of these lads for Christmas a while ago: https://www.shepherdofsweden.fi/sheepskin-slippers/anton-sheepskin-slippers-camel. Not sure I’d spring for a pair myself as they’re pretty pricey, but they are undeniably comfy and warm as fuck. Approaching their fourth (and probably final) winter.

Showed my girlfriend The Beano on the weekend just gone, she thought that beatings with slippers was a Portuguese “thing” until then

it was stairs that done me in

As nice as I’m sure they are, my mum has been wearing slippers that look like that for as long as I can remember. Like, one pair wears out and she gets a replacement that looks identical. I sometimes call them her pasties because the middle bit makes it look that way.

This just confirms my fears

Cold was it?

I was visiting my parents and found my massive stash, mostly old ones inherited from someone else, so with 1970s values. They might even be worth something now, who knows.

Someone just sold 60 issues of a cycling magazine for £600 so EBAY THE LOT!!
